Major events of 2017

2 hours before 2017 comes to a closure. I haven't been on this place for a REALLY long time cos I am simply too lazy to get started.. 2017 has been a game changing year..the year that caught me by surprise and hence, the need to pen down some of the major events before my memory fails me.

Major events of 2017.
1. Fulfilled my dream of backpacking in a less developed country (Sri Lanka) with mum and 2 of my best pals. It was nothing but an eye opener and I am truly humbled by this experience. :')

2. Grandpa passed on in April this year while we were in Sri Lanka. We flew back to attend the last day of his funeral. And just like this, a life is gone..reminding me of how death is inevitable with life.

3. Visited the hospitals and clinics at least 8 to 10 times this year due to various health issues. The worst of it all was a really high fever which developed while I was trekking in Sri Lanka... (Yes, Sri Lanka again). Mum was constantly patting me and begging me not to slip away.

4. Injured my kneecap in May and life has never been the same after that incident. The next three months were terrible for me because I could barely walk properly without feeling the knee ache. Until this very day, the pain still lingers and there isnt any cure or diagnosis  despite visiting the doctors thrice and attending physio. So goodbye to long distance running..... now and forever

5. Visited River Safari with my lovelies and did AquaHITT. I am glad that I have a cute clique that do fun stuffs together. :) I am grateful we met and hit up well. To more adventures with Zhibing and Serene in 2018.

6. Caught a few good ol films including The Green Mile and Forrest Gump.

7. Caught my first ever outdoor movie with Yilian and omg the experience sucks.

8. Back to Yoga, and now a regular once a week swimmer (a far cry from my once every few years swimming stint) And i broke my own personal record by swimming 20 laps in 40 mins. (it's still slow but better than not moving)

9. Went to Japan (omg, like seriously a developed country?) and lost 2 kg there.. no frigging idea why??

10. Started learning driving and failed BTT practice thrice and I was bawling and losing hope but thakfully, I had Zhibing with me throughout this arduous journey wtf

11. Sat on Audi A6 FOR THE FIRST TIME (just happened barely half an hour again) unknowingly

12. Started reading International New York Times.

13. Ate tons of pastries..........and drank alot of coffeee

14. Finally, last but not least, one had come to call.

Goodnight and may 2018 be a good one.

I daydream too much. Too much daydreams, too many illusions, too little success in life. I look back at the past 26 years of my life thinking what i have achieved? Nothing much essentially.

When i was younger, I was given the opportunity to read music, sports etc... i was given the opportunity to enter better schools i reckon but nah, all these I havent had achieved any til this very day.

When i was 17, i remember occasionally being affected my huge thighs. I wanted them to be toner, skinnier so that I can pull up shorts well. But now that I am 26, the dream still remains a dream. Nothing much has changed. Passion dissipated, commitment failed and I am still.......unhappily self conscious, still disillusioning about a better body.

Social media is killer, it makes you feel like shit when u see how other girls live their lives confidently and being all rounded. U get to see how people live their lives fearlessly without any trace......so bold, so wild, so free, so talented. But social media can be a facade, if it makes myself feel abit better. Truth to be told, self consolation is redundant because the truth stares in the face.

I always believe that passion arises when you're good at something to begin with. Maybe that's why I never really did succeed in anything. But suddenly one day it dawned upon me that passion comes with determination, for those who fail, try to make their dreams become a reality and prove themselves wrong eventually. Well, that becomes more than passion, there's a deterministic character, a strong one.

I have been in thoughts lately. Trying to work life around and to make myself a better someone who doesnt look back in regrets later on life. There are a few things I have learnt:

1) To more confident, because confidence is really the key to life.
2) Stop letting others' opinions become a reality of you,
3) And that being said, to be more insensitive because I am just a hella of sensitive woman......
4) Admit when you're wrong, but not at workplace, because if you're at workplace, you got to bite a bullet and say you're right.
5) To live with passion. Really, I need it. I am working on being sporty now... (KPI) so I am trying to live  better by channelling my energy to exercising.
6) To be cleaner (HAHAHAHA)
7) Better posture and to take good care of the eyes (this is abit irrelevant)
8) Stretch more to improve flexiblity
9) Spend more time with my friends..........
10) Work harder than ever and stop being sleepy all the time!!

Life

Nearly 4 months to the end of the year... and Im thinking about what had happened over the course of these 8 months? What have I done? What have I achieved?

I presume nothing much. More than often, I feel like a total failure at work.  It's a simple job but... I still fail at simple jobs. Simple jobs like following instructions, missing out letters, words, numbers, being careless repeatedly, not living up to expectations and finally, being sidelined. Who's to blame? Me, myself and I. I guess I have taken things too lightly. Too simply and fail to consider the magnitude of the seriousness. Why have I become so fearless and irresponsible? After you left, it has been three years. And this impact has sub-conciously changed the whole course of my life, on how I perceive life to be. And to take life lightly. I need to wake up from this sleeping and mindless and un-motivational turmoil. Because, I shouldnt take things for granted.

I am trying, everyday, to be someone better. God, make me better than yesterday.

ADELINE ON THE ROAD

A post inspired by Zhibing on driving!! Oh well, it's my first ever lesson on the road...after failing BTT evaluation twice (yes, score of 22 outta 50). It's kind of sweet bitterish thinking about it that I had Zhibing at the final stretch of BTT, hellya our dinner together before our theory training and finally making it to BTT (Having theory training PRIOR to the exams too, how kiasu can we be!!)

We have the same instructor, first lesson.. I think i have serious hand leg coordination issues and slow mind processing ability. Find myself steering into the lanes of others ehehe and accelerating too much or braking too quickly. The instructor asked me if I had ever driven a car, I affirmed with a no, and he asked if I had driven a car in the arcade,  i affirmed with a no and he asked if I knew how to cycle, and I affirmed with a no he let out a sign of exasperation!! HAHA, but im slowly getting there. At least there's something to motivate me and keep me going on :)

So much to talk about, so  much thoughts. Shall leave it to another day.

Toodles.

Anguish

What do you do if you have sinned?
What do you do if you had injured and hurt and the pain doesnt seem to go away?

You live everyday wishing it will all end and you wake up feeling everything will be fine.
But nope, the truth is real. The truth punishes you.

The truth made you guilty, and make you realise what a fool you've been.

You deserve what you deserve. Pain.

Americans have spoken.

I woke up today feeling all pumped up and excited. Scurried my way to the office as my limbs started connecting to all the social media platforms I could possibly reach. When the clock struck 8, I started googling the golden words.. ah realising it was still in the early stages. Approximately around 9 plus, ze lovable colleagues were in a state of frenzy and confusion. The commotion began with questions on why Trump was leading. I went like relaxed guys, maybe because the swing states hadn't cast their votes. As the hours went by, I was furiously jabbing on the refresh button of the life feed website. Maybe this is why I've the brain of an arts student (this is how we behave). By 4pm, when the results was officially out,  everyone was in dismal.

Trump has won and how do I feel exactly? Over the course of spending hours watching USA presidential debates, I was rooting for Nobody2016. While the world is busy bashing Trump on his newly elected presidency title and anticipating a closed economy, a purge of Islamic aad high walls in the next couple of years, I couldn't help but wonder.. what's wrong with Americans? The truth is, they have spoken... of their discontent and their like mindedness with Trump's adovacy. Honestly, after Brexit esponiage, this didn't come as a surprise to me. What exactly will be happening in the next years with the powerful man in the world? I don't know but all I know is, this year has a hell of crazy politics.
